Duane Burrell is the president of Sabur, Inc. He started his land surveying career at an entry level field position 26 years ago. He became an entrepreneur in January of 1993 when he co-founded Sabur, Inc. as an infrastructure based land surveying company. Mr. Burrell oversees business development, marketing, and the financial activities of the firm in addition to contract preparation, project scheduling, and the design of quality control systems. Mr. Burrell holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies from Webster University and recently earned his MBA, in 2010. Mr. Burrell has successfully completed twenty-six (26) hours of state board testing and consequently holds professional surveying licenses in the states of Missouri and Illinois. Mr. Burrell also completed state board testing to acquire his Real Estate Broker’s license to augment his expertise in land development consulting. As the president of Sabur, Inc. he has kept the focus of the business on infrastructure projects which has positioned Sabur, Inc. as a “go to” teaming partner for civil design, mapping, construction layout, and GIS survey integration. As a member of numerous design teams, his business has provided surveying for heavy highway construction, major bridge projects, trail projects, and airport control surveys for over 18 years.

Mr. Sater is an accomplished Land Surveyor with over 30 years of experience in the engineering and land surveying industry. His early career as a designer for engineering projects including design work for sewers, highways, subdivisions, grading, and plan approvals creates a unique path to his surveying expertise. This path helps him to understand the needs of engineers and contractors in better clarity, resulting in survey products that better meet their needs. With that said, Mr. Sater provides much direction in how a project should be prosecuted to successful completion. His duties include supervision on surveys under his purview, and coordinates document preparation, i.e. easements, deeds, and plats.

Mrs. Elder has served as office manager for Sabur, Inc. for fifteen years with additional office management experience totaling twenty-nine years. She is responsible for all office duties including preparing contracts, invoicing and all aspects of job costing, as well as bank reconciliations and banking matters. In addition, Sharon performs payroll tasks, tracks accounts payable, and accounts receivable through QuickBooks Software. Sharon prepares the financial reports and associated charts for managing Sabur, Inc. Sharon spent two years of college at Northeast Missouri State University and one year at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley focusing on Administrative Office Systems.





Brian Higgins
LSIT

As a Land Surveyor-in-Training, Brian is working towards his licensure as a professional land surveyor, and he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Brian is very versatile, trained in AutoCAD and field operations utilizing GPS receivers and Robotic total stations. Brian has the ability to take a survey project from start to finish with little oversight.

Jeff Berliner
CAD Draftsman

Trained in AutoCAD at ITT Technical School, Jeff provides a solid contribution to CAD productivity and construction staking setup. Jeff is also experienced in Microstation and Geopak software. Jeff is instrumental in setting up the field work scheduling and reconciling what the contractor needs with how Sabur can be most helpful in the layout of project improvements.

Steve Deddens
Field Specialist

Steve is knowledgeable in all aspects of field operations including boundary and topographic surveys and construction staking procedures. Steve has an excellent relationship and attitude with contractors while working towards successful culmination of construction surveying projects.

Steve and Brian are both certified in the OSHA 10 hour construction industry outreach for on the job safety training.
